We are sad to announce the passing of FWD Hall Of Fame member and past District President Deane Scoville. Deane has been a fixture in the FWD for decades, and a tireless volunteer for the betterment of our District and the Society. He was inducted into the FWD Hall Of Fame in 2003, served as District President and Dean of Harmony College West, was a Super Senior Quartet Champ, and was honored as Barbershopper Of The Year for both the Fullerton and South Bay chapters.

Dear Family and Friends,
This morning our beloved Dad and Grandpa was called home to be with God. We are so grateful for the 93 years he had in this life, and that we all had the good fortune to enjoy his love, his laughter, and his song. The last couple of weeks were very difficult for him, and it was also hard on Mom and the rest of the family to see him suffer, so we are thankful that he is now at peace. Mom is handling this so well, in the way that only a good Midwestern woman could, and we were able to spend today with her as a family, which was indeed special.
Thanks to all of you for the prayers and love you have shown to Dad and to our family. We are calmed and humbled in knowing that we -- and especially Mom -- can count on your support in the future.
We are planning a very special celebration of Dad's life on Saturday, January 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Cypress to be followed by a luncheon, and of course you are all invited.

The services are scheduled for 11:00. Gather at 10:00 if you wish to rehearse the songs. Copies of the two songs will be available for members of other chapters who my choose to join us.
