Saturday, October 12, 2019 (MODESTO, Calif.) — The 2019 Far Western District Fall Contests have completed. A total of 30 men's, women’s, and mixed harmony quartets competed in the semifinal found that was held in Harvest Hall at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Modesto, Calif. on Friday evening. On Saturday morning there was a total of 16 men's, women's, and mixed harmony choruses, totaling 460 members, what performed on-stage during Chorus Contest which took place at the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto. The day was climaxed by the Quartet Finals and Show of Champions held Saturday evening, also at the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater.

Chorus Contest

  1. Masters of Harmony - Santa Fe Springs, CA - 91.0
  2. Fog City Singers - Barbary Coast, CA - 87.7
  3. A Cappella Syndicate - Salt River Valley, AZ - 80.1
  4. Voices of California - Califirnia Delta - 79.1
  5. Pacific Coast Harmony - La Jolla, CA - 77.4
  • Masters of Harmony qualifies to represent the Far Western District at the International Chorus Contest next July.
  • Masters of Harmony is the District Men's Chorus Champion.
  • Pacific Coast Harmony is the District Mixed Harmony Chorus Champion.
  • Sounds of Aloha Barbershop Chorus is the Far Western District Plateau A Champion.
  • Peninsulaires is the Far Western District Plateau AA Champion.
  • Masters of Harmony is the Far Western District Plateau AAA Champion.
  • Sun Harbor is the Far Western District Most Improved Chorus.
  • Fog City Harmonia competed for evaluation score only; scores published by request
  • The Phoenicians competed for qualifying score for the International Seniors Chorus Festival.

  • Troubadour is the District Women's Quartet Champion.
  • Tenor First is the District Mixed Harmony Quartet Champion.
  • Noteable is the District Novice Quartet Champion.
  • Over The Line is the District Seniors Quartet Champion.
  • Over The Line qualifies to represent the Far Western District at the International Seniors Quartet Contest next January.

Notable also received the Lloyd B. Steinkamp Standing "O" Award for the most entertaining quartet by audience vote.
