HARMONY FOR LUNCH
Come join the fun as we raise our glass and sing a toast to Blackie Blackwell at the Fall Convention Harmony for Lunch. This year's event will be held on Friday at Pizzaville USA, 700 Oak St in Bakersfield. Billed as an "old-school pizza joint serving up traditional pizza & beers on tap in a down-to-earth atmosphere," we'll have the back room set aside for our musical merry-making.

All men are invited to join the
JOE BARBERSHOP CHORUS
For A Moment ... It's the #1 Champion "Most Awesome Barbershop Chorus" in Bakersfield that morning!
Are you planning on attending the FWD Fall Convention - but NOT competing? Or maybe a later-performing member of a competing chorus? Would you like to appear on the contest stage and perform under an enthusiastic, experienced and talented director? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then we have a great opportunity for you: come and sing with what could be the largest chorus in the FWD Chorus Contest, the Most Awesome Joe Barbershop Chorus in Bakersfield!
Participation is open to anyone attending - whether you’re singing in another chorus or not - and requires you attend a single rehearsal Saturday morning before the contest begins, and perform on the contest stage first off as the "Mic" tester chorus.
Saturday — See the convention schedule for time and location.
Don't mis the AFTERGLOW SHOW! Presented by your hosts, the Golden Empire Chorus of the Bakersfield Chapter, it will be held in the arena behind the stage immediately folllowing the Show of Champions, and features:
- MASTERPIECE - 2013 International Quartet Champion
- MASTERS OF HARMONY - 2017 International Chorus Champion
- PLUS the TOP FIVE quartets and choruses from the Fall Contests!
Admission is FREE and no-host food and beverage service will be available.
Saturday, following the Show of Champions.
It’s going to be a great convention, and we are off to a great start by making it easier to get registered. A reminder that all seats are reserved for this event, so the earlier you register, the better selection of seats you’ll have.
